The Abortion Rights Campaign is an alliance of pro-choice groups and individuals in Ireland and Northern Ireland who believe that women’s lives matter, and women’s health matters.
We are currently made up of five working groups and one convening group (convenor, treasurer, secretary). Steering Group meetings are held once a month in Dublin. We continue to finalise our membership structure and are improving our national engagement.
Like other personal healthcare decisions, choosing whether to continue with a pregnancy is a decision that should be made between a woman and her doctor. We believe this. So do the majority of people in Ireland. However, in Ireland and Northern Ireland, there are many barriers to women’s full reproductive rights. If we work together, we can dismantle these barriers so that women and their families can make their own decisions, for themselves.
