PARTICIPATE WITH US IN THE 2011 FLORA WOMEN'S MINI MARATHON

THE WOMEN'S THERAPY CENTRE

Hello ladies, I have a very specific request...
I am looking to gather a group of 200 fabulous women to do the Dublin Women's Mini Marathon this June Bank Holiday in aid of the Women's Therapy Centre! The WTC provides a vital service offering affordable & accessible therapy to women in need and, if we can gather 200 women to raise what they can, we could give the Women's Therapy Centre the funds to run the service for a full year!! This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others, women doing it for women...

Women in Ireland want an affordable, locally based, confidential psychotherapy service provided by professional therapists who understand the particular experiences of women. The Women's Therapy Centre was established 3 years ago to provide this service in the Dublin area. The demand for this service has grown steadily and now far exceeds our ability to respond. The WTC must expand significantly if it is to meet the needs of women asking us for this specialist psychotherapy service.

All money raised by marathon participants will be used to develop this service. Specifically it will be used to provide more counselling and psychotherapy hours for more women, particularly women marginalised by social injustices and abuse in adult relationships.
