The maiden edition of Young Migrant Women Forum
AkiDwA is a non-governmental organization with charitable status established in August 2001 by a group of African women for all migrant women irrespective of their national/ethnic background, tradition, religious beliefs, socio-economic or legal status.
YOUNG MIGRANT WOMEN FORUM is a project aimed at targeting all migrant women between the ages of 18 - 30 irrespective of their background.
AIM: To bridge the gap already created between the older migrant women and their children (-18s).To build, inform, encourage, educate, empower and inspire these young women. To enhance and develop their skills because they have got talents!
ACTIVITIES: Leadership development, talent hunting, music, Drama/Singing, Fashion and Beauty, Modeling, art and craft, creative writing, Healthy Living, Sports etc.
OUTCOME: Vibrant, talented, educated and competitive young women who are ready and willing to make mark in Irish history and beyond.
