Campaign for jobs & growth - Public demonstrations

SIPTU are trying to persuade the Government to find a way of leveraging as much into the economy for jobs and growth as Budget 2012 takes out. Proposals have been submitted to them outlining a means of doing it without compromising the public finances. This would entail using some of the residue of the National Pensions Reserve Fund, incentivising investment from private pension funds through exemptions from the pensions levy and drawing on the resources of the European Investment Bank. This course offers a route out of ongoing recession through creating jobs and growing the economy. It offers an alternative to ongoing cuts and misery. In this regard members are urged to participate in the following public demonstrations:

Tuesday, 22nd November, 2011
Pension Levy Protest
