What is Family Day?
Family Day is a celebration of the diversity of families and family life in Ireland. It is an initiative of One Family (a national organisation for one-parent families in Ireland) and is sponsored by EBS Building Society.
At the launch of Family Day, Ray D'Arcy explained "Mothers' Day is for mums and Fathers' Day is for dads but Family Day is for everyone to celebrate all types of families."
At Marriage Equality, we'll be celebrating same sex families this Family Day, and we'd love it if you celebrated with us!
The Family Day Picnic in Dublin's Iveagh Gardens on Sunday, May 15th, from 1-5pm.
Join Marriage Equality and our families and friends to enjoy family entertainers, workshops, sports activities, games and an arts and crafts area - all free of charge. There will be a selection of healthy, quality food and drink vendors. For more information visit www.familyday.ie .
