Renewal or Regression?

The Equality Authority and the Irish Human Rights Commission are about to be merged to form the Human Rights and Equality Commission (HREC). We have been assured by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Defence, that the newly merged HREC will "more effectively, efficiently and cohesively champion equality and human rights".
