Feminism is back? I never saw it leave…

I've been reading about the resurgence in feminism since I picked up my first copy of The Women's Room by Marilyn French
If you haven't already, you little scamp, go at once, find this and read it - Right. Now.
Those of you present on the planet since 1950 might recall (Hi Mum):
There was a feminist resurgence in the sixties, which cruised onward to the resurgence in the seventies - commonly known as 'the second wave'.
Some feminist commentators even speculate that this second wave feminist resurgence continued "to the early eighties."
And then of course in the nineties, it 'resurged' again, this time as the 'third wave', which is when I started surfing the crimson tide of the women's movement myself, spurred on by the classics of my time, such as Susan Faludi's Backlash.
