Enhancing Gender Justice and Ending Discrimination against Women Critical to Achieving the MDGs

UNIFEM (part of UN Women) released an excerpt from the forthcoming2010-2011 edition of its flagship publication, Progress of the World's Women, in time for the UN Summit on the Millennium Development Goals.

The analytical brief, presented at a high-level side event during the MDG Summit, spotlights how many women and girls, particularly in rural areas, continue to live in exclusion and poverty, and calls for urgent action in four areas that are critical to gender justice and the MDGs.
