Ireland’s National and Local Response to People Fleeing Ukraine

In April 2022, The National Womens Council alongside a number of civil society organisations, working locally and nationally, so-signed a letter to the Taoiseach.

The letter and attached proposals expressed deep concerns about the overall lack of coordination and coherence of responses across the country and outlined a number of approaches that need to be advanced underpinned by human rights principles and a recognition of the urgent need for cross-sectoral national and local coordination.
