Launch of Leaflet: Female Genital Mutilation and Law in Ireland

The Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012 came into force on 20 September 2012. With support from the HSE, NWCI member AkiDwA is undertaking several step to raise awareness and to ensure women and girls are fully protected. As part of this process and to mark 16 international days of opposing violence against women AkiDwA has published a General Public Information Leaflet on Female Genital Mutilation and Law in Ireland which will be launched on 4 December 2012. 

What: Launch of Leaflet - Female Genital Mutiliation and Law in Ireland 

When: 4 December 2012, 2 - 5 pm 

Where: Irish Aid Information and Volunteering Centre, 27 – 31 Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin 1

Speakers will include: Senator Ivana Bacik, MEP Emer Costello, Labour Party, Geraldine Luddy, Department of Health and Diane Nurs, HSE Social inclusion Unit. Light refreshment will be served.
