Members Meeting on 17th February

The NWCI and Longford Women's Link are hosting a Members Meeting on 17th February, 2011 on the topic of "Women and Politics" in the Family Centre, Longford.

It promises to be an exciting meeting with a presentation from the Longford Women's Link, Panel discussion and small group discussion.

The speakers are as follows:-

Rachel Doherty: Fianna Fáil County Councillor in Roscommon since 2004, re-elected in 2009.
Marcella Corcoran-Kennedy: Fine Gael General Election candidate for the Laois Offaly constituency.
Mae Sexton: Labour Candidate Longford/Westmeath.

Claire McGing from the Department of Geography in NUI Maynooth will then give input on the barriers faced by women in the Irish political system.
