Petition to End Direct Provision

The Irish Refugee Council are calling on supporters to sign their petition calling for an end to the institutionalised accommodation of asylum seekers in Ireland under the system known as Direct Provision.
We are asking for an immediate investigation into Direct Provision and a reform of reception conditions. Reform should recognise the role that supportive reception condition can play in an effective application process and should move asylum seekers towards independent living at the earliest opportunity.
