VOLUNTEER EVENTS ORGANISER NEEDED FOR THE WOMEN’S THERAPY CENTRE

THE WOMEN'S THERAPY CENTRE REQUIRE A VOLUNTEER EVENTS ORGANISER (PART-TIME)

The Women's Therapy Centre (WTC) provides an accessible and affordable professional psychotherapy service for individual women, particularly women marginalised by social injustices. The WTC specifically provides a specialist psychotherapy service for women moving on from abuse and violence within an intimate relationship.

The WTC require a Volunteer Events Organiser who will take responsibility for organising fundraising events. The Events Organiser will work closely with the Fundraising Working Group who have the responsibility of operationalising the fundraising strategy of the WTC.

We require a Volunteer Events Organiser:
- with experience at organising events, preferably fundraising events
- to support the mission and ethos of the agency
- to offer time, energy and enthusiasm
- to have good organisational skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- to have good computer skills
- to have an ability to work on their own initiative

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organise and hold fundraising events as agreed by Fundraising Working Group
- Attend and participate in Fundraising Working Group meetings
- Support the work of the Fundraising Working Group
- Liaise with WTC colleagues as required
- Represent WTC and act as main contact for event contributors and supporters
- Prepare and distribute promotional material for events
- Ensure WTC guidelines for ethical fundraising are adhered to
- Provide work updates as required to Office Manager and Fundraising Working Group

Note: Work space is available at the Centre with limited administration support.
