Women and Osteoporosis: All you need to Know - Roundtable
Published: Wednesday, April 03, 2013
The Irish Osteoporosis Society and NWCI will host a roundtable discussion on women and osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a silent invasive genetic disease which affects both women and men but mostly women who are pre and post-menopausal. 50% of women over 50 years of age will fracture a bone due to osteoporosis. This roundtable aims to raise awareness about the disease and how effective strategies by the state could make an enormous difference in the detection and prevention of the disease amongst women.
Michele O' Brien, CEO of the Irish Osteoporosis Society will give a presentation followed by Q and A and discussion.
