AIMS Ireland - Birth After Cesarean
Saturday, November 23, 2024
Come and join us for an informative discussion about what birth after caesarean looks like in Ireland. We will have speakers who will guide you through the choices and experiences of people who have birthed after a previous C Birth.
- 11am-12pm C Section rates and current trends - Dr Krysia Lynch maternity care expert will discuss the options around C Birth and what it means for your delivery.
- 12-1pm VBac vs Repeat Cesarean - Midwife Aisling Dixon will speak on planing a VBAC and how it compares to having a repeat C Birth.
- 2.30-3.30pm Home Birth After Cesarean - Midwife Liz Halliday will lead the conversation on choosing a home birth after a previous C Birth.
- 3.30-4.30pm - Impact of Cesarean on Breastfeeding
We will have a discussion on how the effects of a Cesarean can impact breastfeeding and the challenges that can occur. On the day we will have women who will speak on their own experiences with each choice of birth after ceserean. Including VBAC HBAC and repeat C Birth. This will allow for questions and conversations with real people who have had these different birthing options. On the day we will hold our AGM and any AIMSI members are welcome to attend.
We look forward to welcoming you.
