On December 18, 2009 the United Nations' (UN) General Assembly declared the year 2011 to be the International Year for People of African Descent. To mark the year and in celebration of Africa day 2011 AkiDwA will hold a whole day event.
Activities include: Exhibition of arts and crafts, African fabrics & souvenirs, food fair, music, drumming, coral bead making, story telling for children, Education stands, hair braiding, face painting, Henna, massage, African Folk songs and more!
Come and explore Africa. Not to be missed!
