International Day of the Midwife 4th of May

Help to celebrate International Day of the Midwife here at the Coombe Hospital on wednesday the 4th of May at 2pm with a "walk".

This is a walk organised jointly between the 3 Dublin Maternity Hospitals for Midwives and women. This year the International Confederation of Midwives are having their Conference in Durban. Our walk is therefore called 'Walk to Durban' - there will be a 5 Euro registration fee and all funds will be in aide of midwives from under-developed countries inorder for them to attend the conference and learn new skills/knowledge etc..

We plan to commence the walk at 2pm from the Coombe and walk to the National Maternity Hospital and then on to the Rotunda and back to the Coombe again for refreshments!

We are asking everyone to wear white T-shirts - we will have stickers and balloons for all. We hope (and pray) to get a nice fine day! So bring the runners, camera and bottle of water!
