The feminist umbrella group for Ireland's women's groups is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Community Development Worker
The Community Development Worker will work to build and support the membership base of the Women's Council. S/he will contribute to the policy work of the NWCI, ensuring its relevance to women in Ireland, and will work to develop and provide opportunities for NWCI members to engage actively in the work of the organisation
Women's Health & Human Rights Worker
The Women's Health and Human Rights Worker will lead the NWCI's work on women's health, violence against women and women's human rights. The work will include policy analysis, lobbying, and community development with a particular emphasis on women experiencing poverty and social exclusion. The worker will represent the Women's Council on external bodies and will brief the organisation on EU and global issues relevant to women's human rights.
'Where Are the Women?' -Project Co-ordinator
The co-ordinator will develop a campaign to highlight gender imbalance in Irish politics and to propose affirmative measures which will bring about gender equality. S/he will organise events, provide policy analysis, lobby, and build a broad support base for the campaign. S/he will work with parliamentarians and other public figures to gain high profile support for the campaign, and will engage in extensive communications activity. S/he will work closely with the CEO, staff team, board and the members of the NWCI throughout the campaign.
