NWC Submission on the Draft Primary Curriculum Specification

The National Women’s Council provided feedback on the Wellbeing curriculum, specifically focusing on Social, Personal, and Health Education (SPHE), as part of the consultation process for the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment’s Draft Primary Curriculum Specifications. In this submission, NWC emphasises the need for the Wellbeing Curriculum to robustly address gender equality, combat harmful stereotypes, and include comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education, advocating for inclusive representation, support for marginalised groups, and enhanced teacher training to ensure effective curriculum implementation.
