NWCI expresses disappointment at Spring Statement

NWCI has expressed its disappointment at the Spring Statement delivered by the Government on 28 April.

In our press release we highlighted the lack of high level commitment to public investment in areas such as childcare and to employment policies that will ensure quality, secure jobs for workers. We also called on the Government to use the announced National Economic Dialogue as a way to consult with women's organisations and civil society groups and introduce gender proofing of all budget measures as a way to ensure a fair and equal budget.
