NWCI meeting with Fadwa Barghouti

NWCI were privileged to meet the lawyer Fadwa Barghouti through Noreen Byrne of the Palestine Solidarity group on the 8th May 2014 before her presentation to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade. Her husband Marwan Barghouti has been in jail in Israel for almost 20 years. Her son has now been in jail for 4 years because of who his father is. A lifetime behind bars and checkpoints Fadwa has been campaigning for his release and raising awareness about his plight and that of Palestine. Fadwa was on tour of Europe to renew calls to free Marwan Barghouti, you can read more about her tour and campaign here.
