Girls and Pearls: A special evening for women of all ages

Published: Wednesday, March 13, 2013

This is an opportunity to put on that little black dress and go out with your mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, goddaughter or friend to a private viewing of the iconic film 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.

The event is being organised by Fiona O'Connell and her daughter Lucy in order to raise awareness and funds for Habitat for Humanity. Lucy will soon be travelling to Mozambique to assist on a much needed house building project. Habitat for Humanity does not build houses for people, it builds with them. They work together with homeowners and volunteers to construct, renovate, or refurbish homes using donations of money, land and materials. Once completed houses are sold to partner families at no profit, providing a hand up rather than a hand out. President Michael D Higgins is the sole Patron of the charity.

The evening will start with' bubbles' and canapés; providing an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to each other and mingle before the film begins. After the film we will have a Raffle for some wonderful prizes generously given by corporate sponsors.
