Our Stories, Our Words
Friday, 9th March 2012, 7.00pm-9.30pm
Peacock Theatre, 26 Lower Abbey Street, Dublin
The Hijabi Monologues is about creating a theatre space for Muslim women's stories; a space to breathe as they are; a space that does not claim to tell every story and speak for every voice. The stories go beyond the much debated hijab, and present a deeper journey where claims are challenged and stereotypes confronted.
Due to the nature of some language and content, parental discretion is advised.
This event will include a European premiere performance of the US Hijabi Monologues production and a panel discussion chaired by Irish Times journalist Mary Fitzgerald. Refreshments served @ 7.00pm.
