Kilbarrack CDP is holding a pub quiz!
Published: Wednesday, June 12, 2013
Kilbarrack CDP is holding a pub quiz on Thursday 27th June in the Teachers Club, Parnell Square. 8pm. Great questions, loadsa prizes and the promise of a good night's craic. 20 Euro for a table of four. If you cannot come but would still like to make a donation or send a raffle prize, then contact Cathleen O Neill on 087-7506188 (see detailed contact details below)
For the first time in it's existence as an independent CDP, Kilbarrack needs help to keep doing the things that the community needs and wants.
Kilbarrack CDP has been working for 18 years in the Kilbarrack area and became an independent community development project in 2011 following the austerity cutbacks of 2011 in order to protect it's community resource, principles and ethos.
Being an independent CDP means having no state funding for vital activities such as the summer camp that Kilbarrack runs for 70 children each year. At this present time, Kilbarrack CDP is very badly off financially and the Summer camp is in danger of not running unless they can raise funds This is the first time Kilbarrack CDP has put out such a call for help - because they are only too aware of how difficult the times are for people but equally have no choice now but to look for support.
