The latest Gender and Development Bulletin (Issue 9 Spring 2011):
This issue features the Mná Sasa Manifesto, a new Banúlacht solidarity initiative, which will be launched at Banúlacht's AGM on Tuesday, March 1st (contact us on 01 872 3039 or info@banulacht.ie for more information). We welcome feedback and comments in relation to the Bulletin, and, in particular, to the Manifesto.
There are also reports by Irish and Tanzanian women involved in the Banúlacht Exchange November 2010. Longer reports and more photos by participants of the Exchange 2010 are also available here.
On the home page, there is a section on Election 2011 (see under notices), which includes an article by Anna Mushi of the Tanzania Gender Networking Programme on quota systems in Tanzania, as well as links to the Claiming our Future Petition to create a more equal politics; the analysis of party manifestos by the Equality and Rights Alliance has prepared analyses of the commitments and a submission by Dóchas, the umbrella organisation of development agencies, to the political parties in relation to overseas development and humanitarian assistance.
