Put refuge on the election agenda

DVAS need you help to put the issue of crisis refuge for victims of domestic violence on the general election agenda.

Please find attached a document with some information and suggestions for some questions you can ask candidates when you are canvassed. More information about the need for refuge and the impact on women and children of having no access to refuge can be found on our website at www.domesticviolence.ie.

For those of you who have already written letters to relevant Ministers to call for a refuge in Sligo, we thank you for your support. We would appreciate it if you could now use the opportunity presented by the upcoming general election to let candidates know that as a community, we will expect TD's and all politicians to put refuge on the top of their political agenda.
