Women’s Fund
Published: Tuesday, October 19, 2010
Launched in April 2010 at a major seminar on women's philanthropy in Dublin, The Women's Fund for Ireland fuels change in our communities by supporting the most innovative and positive solutions to the issues facing women in Ireland today.
It's mission is to encourage philanthropy among women, improve the lives of women through social change grantmaking, and educate the entire community about the benefits to society when the potential of women is realised.
The fund is now calling for applications for its first round of small grants. Initially, it has two main focus areas;
- Measures aimed at Preventing Violence Against Women,
- Measures Empowering Women to take Leadership roles.
As the fund grows, these areas will be reviewed and/or expanded.
The first Closing Date for applications will be Friday 19th November 2010. Go to www.communityfoundation.ie for details of how to apply.
The criteria and application form are attached.
