Published: Thursday, November 03, 2011
9th December 2011, Thomond Park, Limerick.
This conference will promote feminist movement building, women's human rights and solidarity between women locally and globally. The conference will explore feminist activism and women's demands for greater voice, presence and influence at local, national and international levels. At a time of economic crisis, funding cuts and lack of political will to fulfill women's human rights, his conference aims to inspire, mobilise, challenge and re-energise participants with a vision of global feminist solidarity.
Speeches, interactive sessions and workshops will address topics such as building feminist movements, creating global solidarity, domestic violence, reproductive rights, women's representation and power at local level and women's experiences and roles in conflict and peace building.
