Democracy: The Countdown has begun

Minister Phil Hogan is about to publish legislation for gender quotas for candidates. The legislation currently excludes the local elections. Please take action to tell Minister Hogan that the local elections are crucial for increasing women's participation in politics.

Every organisation in Ireland is facing serious cuts. Once again the women's sector and women are primary targets of these cuts. If we are to protect women we need to overhaul our democracy. We need to elect more women, more progressive voices - we need your urgent help to achieve that.
