Equality and rights supports in Ireland have been systematically weakened over the last number of years. Now Equality & Rights Alliance is developing something really unique and powerful - Ireland's first Charter for the Promotion of Equality and Human Rights. Your views will feed into this Charter.

This practical roadmap will set out what is needed to build an equality, human rights and social justice system that works for everyone. It will be launched in Autumn 2010.

Equality and Rights Alliance (ERA)

The Charter will be used to secure political commitment to a more effective and independent equality and human rights support system. It will also give people the chance to sign up to better opportunities.

Equality & Rights Alliance (ERA) is an impressive coalition of 140 respected organisations and activists concerned about the sinister erosion of equality, anti-poverty and human rights supports in Ireland. We are the collective voice of workers, women, older people, children, minority ethnic people, Travellers, people with disabilities, migrants, gay, lesbian and transgender people, parents, carers and many more who have a new ambition for equality and human rights.
