A successful Fundraiser for NWCI
Published: Wednesday, October 09, 2013
The first official fundraiser for NWCI was a successful and fun night and we would like to say a huge thank you to all that attended, helped out, sponsored prizes and of course hosted the event (here’s to you Tara Flynn).
Our Table Quiz was on last Tuesday night in MacTurcaills in Dublin, which was a great venue and wheelchair friendly too! The teams were challenged with the toughest question of the night early on… “what would you like to call your team?” which led to some very entertaining names including 4T+, How many feminists does it take to change a lightbulb, Blackrock Blondes, The Lovely Bottoms and my personal favourite Quizton Taranteamo. Tara Flynn, our wonderful host, provided plenty of laughs and clues for when the going got tough and it was a battle all the way to the end with two teams tied for 1st place. Our tie breaker toughies resulted in 4T+ winning and How many feminists does it take to change a lightbulb coming 2nd.
Thanks to our lovely prize sponsors who were:
Niamh O’Carroll of Carroll Consulting
Julie O’Neill of Join The Dots
Gráinne Murray of Gráinne Murray Design
Kevin Cummins of KC Deli & Catering
We also had loads of excellent raffle prizes on the night, and each team walked away with a prize. Thanks to the prizes sponsors:
The Abbey Theatre
Buff Day Spa
Clarion Hotel IFSC
Gresham Metropole Hotel, Cork
Knockdrinna Farmhouse
Laughter Lounge
Lighthouse Cinema, Smithfield
