NWCI Gender Matters Regional Workshops

Over the last month NWCI in conjunction with the HSE has been holding regional workshops to hear and document the experiences of accessing health services from women and men including transgender people. There was great participation and a wide diversity of issues raised at the three workshops held in Galway, Letterkenny and Waterford. The workshops also included a consultation around the draft HSE Maternity Services Charter. The report from these workshops will form part of the review of the Health Inequalities Framework which is due to be completed by autumn.

The final workshop is taking place in Mullingar on Friday 20 March from 9.30am to 1pm. If you are interested in learning more about our gender and health work or would like to be part of the consultations around the HSE Maternity Services Charter, please contact jacquelineh@nwci.ie.
