Object to get porn out of our papers

OBJECT, a UK group against the objectification of women, is running a new campaign to put pressure on MPs to end the promotion of pornography in our mainstream press once and for all.

We're all aware of the recent media storm cataloguing the many unethical horrors of Rupert Murdoch's News International, as a result of which the Prime Minister is now calling for an inquiry into the 'culture and ethics' of the press.

Object want to ensure that the portrayal of women in the press is a core component of the inquiry.
